Review of The Odd Couple (1968) by Tyler S — 02 May 2008
One can see the hilarious genius in Neil Simon's play - but the combination of stage-to-screen transition and the film stylings of yester-year keep this film at arms' length; more of a museum piece than a relevant comedy.
Certainly if this film were re-made today, the joke of Felix Ungar's domestic tendencies would be seen so differently than they were in the 1960's.
