Stupid, dumb, predictable, cliche, but yes, it's funny and entertaining sometimes, but it's really a forgetable movie. There's some more good parts than others and ant the beginning I had no idea that the movie was going to become this, but it did, and I can honestly say that it was worse than I thought. Some people liked it, that explains the 5.6 in IMDb, wich is not very usual to see in these kinds of movies, but well, this movie is watchable and you'll be entertained and you will laugh a bit.

Tom Shadyac is very good director of comedy movies but this is one of his worst movies, but everybody has a flaw in the movie carreer, but attention, I'm sure Tom could do or will be able to do a worse movie than this one, because this might be the worste movie of his career but it doesn't mean that it was awful. Eddie Murphy takes the lead role, oh, I'm sure, my bad, Eddie Murphy here takes seven roles, wich was surprising and it was defenitly the movie where he played more characters and I liked his character as Professor Sherman Klump, he was well "made", by these words and this movie won the Oscar for best make up, overall, I liked Eddie Murphie's role(s), he was funny and he's acting was good, Eddie is known from Shrek, Shrek 2, Shrek the Third, Shrek Forever After, Meet Dave, Tower Heist and some other movies. Jada Pinkett Smith was no big deal, I didn't enjoyed her in here that much and she was basicly just an ordinary person here, but still forced to play those cliche parts, Jada is known from Scream 2, The Matrix Reloaded and some other titles. Sow, as you can see, this is basicly just the best actors in here, the best is just okay but the rest of the cast didn't had to be that awesome, because Eddie played several roles that just fill the entire main cast, congrats Eddie, you were amazing in here.

Professor Sherman Klump (Eddie Murphy) is a professor who's grossly overweight and he just certainly falls in love with the nes teacher at the school, Carla Purty (Jada Pinkett Smith). He was despertated to turn slim but after taking a special chemical, is he going to become slim? Yes, but he is also going to unleash, Buddy Love, a slim but obnoxious guy. Sow, as you can see, this is a cliche plot and it has much cliches in it and very preditable stuff in it, sow I'm really sure I can't say that I loved the plot, or that I liked it, but it surprisingly worked in this movie much better than it could possibly work.

Soundtrack, well, at the beginning the movie I think I saw these letters on the screen: Soundtrack: Hanz Zimmer, but that's weird, Hanz is my favorite movie soundtrack composer and in this case, he only composed a few usual kind of songs that I haven't appreciated. Let's now talk about Eddie Murphy's fat character, it was very well made and he looked real, the guys who created it did deserve the Oscar.

Besides all that, I am now going to tell you what I really thought about this movie. First of all, I had no idea that I was going to like it, but I was surprised at the beginning, because it was much better than I thought, but then, after a few moments, it just turned out to be just another comedy flick twith very flaws and cliches, what could I expect, a comedy movie starring a fat guy taking the lead role and a cliche plot, if this movie was good or if it get a higher rate or even a 6 on IMDb, that would be a really not usual thing to see. This movie was produced by Brian Grazer and he did that okay. If you haven't watched this movie, you can easily see that it might not be that good, I mean, Jada didn't accept to participate in the sequel of the movie... for some reason, or she was very busy or she just didn't want to participate in a movie like this again. The movie will entertain kids because kids will just think: "Oh look, the fat guy is fat now, oh now, he's not fat, dad, don't change the channel please, oh, ah, ah, ah, he just farted", but attention, this is PG-13 and I notticed that, sow, it might be good if you don't let four year kids watch it, but I can say that I'm happy about that, if the movie was ment to be rated PG, it would just be ruining itself even more, sow, at least, they were smart and took a known kind of rated PG movies plot and turned into a plot of a rated PG-13 movie (Good idea). I don't recommend you that much to watch it, at first, you will think, oh, this is actually fun, but at the ending you will just think that you just watched another cliche comedy. Watch it if you want to, I can't lie about the fact that I had a good time, I laughed and I was entertained, but this movie is really heavy because of it's clicheness, really predictable, stupid and dumb. Overall, stupid movie that could be much better with some adjustments, it has a good cast, a bad plot, it's entertaining sometimes and funny as well and Eddie looks real, this movie is forgetable, but's still worth watching for a good time, I mean, if you watch it, you will defenitly watch a one and a half hour movie, but you will just have that good time that I've talked about for like 30 minutes, the rest is just cliche, cliche, cliche. Not that good.

Not that good movie. Sort of recommended movie. Grade: D.
