The Nutcracker and the Four Realms is one of the bigger surprises of 2018. Visually, it's one of the most gorgeous films Disney has ever put out. Storywise, it's a slow but charming start, but transitions into an absolute classic redone into a beautiful modern work.
While using the original score by the great Tchaikovsky, Disney adds original orchestra scores that does not disappoint, and blends well with the original.
It's not Disney's best film of 2018, but it's definitely one of Disney's better live action adaptions in recent years.
