Review of The Nut Job (2014) by Jesse O — 20 May 2014

(1 Star) Geez.... I know I'm not exactly the audience for The Nut Job, but few animated movies get this embarrassing. I mean, if you want a movie that is already outdated, this film uses Gangnam Style in an embarrassing dance sequence then codas it during the end credits. I guess they couldn't get "I'm Too Sexy" or "Mambo no. 5?".

Nothing is funny, just irritating. The lead squirrel Surly (Will Arnett) is very unlikable and there's a grey squirrel (Brendan Fraser) who I think is supposed to be a mentally challenged Daffy Duck. I kind of like how there's a human plot that coincides with the squirrel's "nut job," but... actually, I don't remember that much about this movie. I'm serious, I watched this movie yesterday and I barely remember anything about it. I don't know how I'm supposed to review this.

There's no reason to see The Nut Job. It's boring and as bad as it is, it leaves no impression on you.
