Review of The Nut Job (2014) by Annie H — 11 Jan 2014

This movie was entertaining and had it's good moments. The beginning started off very weak for me. The story did not have a good foundation and seemed like it rushed to start and seemed sloppy. Once the movie got towards the middle, the plot definitely thickens and is a lot more enjoyable to watch.

There are some good laughs. It definitely seems more complicated of a plot line for smaller kids to understand. I also noticed there are a lot of hidden sexual jokes (I mean, it is called the Nut Job) or maybe that's just me.

I thought the voice acting was pretty good for the most part, minus the fact that the editing did seem quite off and the syncing of voice to mouth movements wasn't always 100%. I think it's worth a watch, but I wouldn't have paid to watch in the theater.
