Review of The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature (2017) by Charlie P — 29 Mar 2018
Taking a much wackier Tex Avery approach to it's use of comedy and character animation and having the unlikable main protagonist Surly (Will Arnett) a bit more sympathetic, The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature may not be the worst animated film of the year, but the rushed pacing, the annoying characters from the last film still being intolerable and the pointless subplots revolving around a Jackie Chan mouse and Precious the Dog (Maya Rudolph) being kidnapped, still makes this pointless sequel a chore to sit through.
