Review of The Nun (2018) by Tyler M — 07 Nov 2018

I was hoping for so much from the hype the nun character got from the last Conjuring. Sadly there was basically no back story on anything about the nun demon told. No idea why its in the nun castle/convent trying to kill everyone. That was my first red flag. When you throw in an antagonist you better get us to understand the reason why its there and what its objective is. NONE. Other than the same old bland possess and kill people which is bland if thats all the story's got. Somewhat boring and not terribly good with the horrors at all. The nun character was cool and freaky up close in its look but the story went nearly nowhere for me. The ending somewhat interconnected with the Conjuring story , but it was too little too late. I need a riveting story and characters that can get you to care about the story, not just a few jump scares. Horror movies are a lost art it seems.
