Review of The Nun (2018) by Keho7 — 10 Nov 2018
"The Nun" has at its disposal the mysterious, inhospitable and terrifying that may be the distant lands of Romania as well as the truly macabre and disturbing that involves subverting an element as candid and venerable as the homonym of the title, but unfortunately Gary Dauberman has no enough skill to deliver a story that is, first: concise and coherent with itself, and second: it scares the soul of the spectators (not even with the blatant use of the jumpscares to which it resorts).
Since the script is the weakest of all, we would expect the rest of its components to be more inspired, and although they are certainly more clever (Corin Hardy's direction is decaffeinated and the cast, not annoying but so little contributes too much, just to mention) as little much they raise a material that can be bearable but completely forgettable.
