Review of The Nun (2018) by Lunar L — 08 Sep 2018
The closest Hollywood has been to faith since Indy's last crusade. Go for the atmosphere - darkest Romania, rather than the story. These characters all seem to display the psychic resilience of a zen master Van Helsing.
The horrors encountered would leave average folk shattered, but they shrug it off like so much happenstance and move purposefully onward. Love the deadpan humorous bits where no one breaks character or even cracks a knowing grin.
Reminded me of a 70's possession movie or two.
