Finally, a movie Jim Carrey had to step out of himself to act in. I find his antics so incredibly annoying that I can't watch most of his movies. No antics here. Thanks in part to Schumacher's taut direction, Carrey is made to stretch what I've seen as his limited acting abilities and shine in a non-comedic role.
This thriller is loaded with tension, and despite some minor plot holes that don't disturb the believability of the story, comes to a satisfying conclusion. Well written and acted.
