Review of The November Man (2014) by Tvjerry — 28 Aug 2014
Pierce Brosnan's character is a cross between 007 (sans the suave) and Jason Bourne (twice the age). He's an ex-CIA agent out to protect a woman (Olga Kurylenko) who could expose an international conspiracy, while matching wits and blows with his protégé (Luke Bracey).
Nothing new here: chases and pursuits, an uncountable body count, some hi-tech paranoia and inevitable plot twists. That being said, it's adequately put together, usually well-paced (although a tad too long) and moderately entertaining.
A passable September placeholder till the good releases return in October.
