Review of The November Man (2014) by Al S — 10 Sep 2014
A stylish, hard-edged and terrifically old-school action-thriller. A crisp, wickedly unpredictable, pulse-racing thrill-ride that's packed with nail-biting suspense and sizzling action. It's the coolest spy thriller in years.
It's sharp, brutal and intensely relentless. Director, Roger Donaldson has not lost as his touch when it comes to making an intelligent thriller and keeps the pace fast and moving frequently. A great, grown-up action movie for adults that is a ticking time-bomb of twist and turns that will blow your mind.
Finally, we are back into the area of mature action movies. Pierce Brosnan is back in top form regaining his action hero crown. Brosnan's first action film in over a decade and he shows like Liam Neeson, he can still mix it up with anyone and makes you enjoy the ride.
Brosnan gives a dynamic and sensational performance, I loved watching him in this and he works great with is co-stars Kurylenko and Bracey. Olga Kurylenko is terrific. Luke Bracey is excellent. An explosively entertaining and awesome movie.
