Review of The November Man (2014) by Greg L — 25 Sep 2014
This film delivers on the premise. It is a spy versus spy action movie with one major star and a lot of good supporting actors.
The action sequences are quick and well paced. None of those boring tumble-down-the-stairs routines.
(Here the hero simply dispatches the bad guy over the railing.).
Kudos to the DP. Shots aren't "look at me" dazzling. They're just perfect, each flowing seamlessly into the next.
See it in a theatre before it cycles out.
Then grab the Blu-ray and turn the sound up.
The shovel sequence near the end ( a scant 40-50 frames ) is particularly satisfying.
