Review of The Notorious Bettie Page (2006) by Aaron R — 21 Oct 2006
An intriguing take on the rise of Bettie Page, the "pin-up queen of the universe" and controversial icon for bondage photography. Mol puts a spin on the person that was an icon to some and a threat to the politicians of the McCarthy era.
The most interesting thing about the portrayal of the characters is that the photographers and even Bettie herself viewed the things they did as merely pretend, unaware of the affects that her photos would have on the coming generations.
