Review of The Notorious Bettie Page (2006) by Louis F — 06 Jan 2008
This movie is fantastic because, it's a big "I Shot Andy Warhol" reunion for a good deal of it. It's got an amazing cast, including the under used, absurdly talented Sarah Paulson. It plays it safe for a lot of it, which is surprising coming from Mary Harron.
The movie doesn't glorify or Hollywoodize Bettie's life. Going back and forth from color to b&w, really added an interesting angle to the film, and Gretchen Mol is fantastic.
