Review of The Notorious Bettie Page (2006) by Lizet C — 24 Jan 2008

I like the scene in which Bettie is seen posing on magazine covers, and there are certain sections, which look beautful, but in general the narrative seems slightly weak. Gretchen Mol's performance is fantastic, but to me the film focuses on the character as oppoed to a strong narrative, it tends to drag at some points.

It's a shame, because it clearly has the potential to be a long lasting cult biopic.
