Review of The Notorious Bettie Page (2006) by Marcus W — 25 Jul 2008
From the same team behind the fantastic American Psycho comes the true story of one of the original glamour girls. Sadly, although Gretchen is brilliant, Bettie was not an interesting enough character and where a film like Larry Flynt openly battled against the controversy, this film seems to give in and accept it.
Sure that was probably what happened, but it doesn't make for an interesting story. A good film, but sadly nothing special.
