Even the smallest player in this ensemble is game for the emotional retelling of Larry Kramer's angry tirade against the uncaring response to initial AIDS epidemic. Justifiable nominated for 19 Emmys, even when preachy, the film has an emotional resonance that makes it hard to watch even 30 years in the rearview mirror.
