Review of The Normal Heart (2014) by Wayne M — 15 Aug 2014
An important film and a very powerful one to be sure. It chronicles, with great passion, the fight against the AIDS epidemic in New York in the early 80s. Based on an award winning play this very personal film shows us a group on one fighting the epidemic and the deadly effect it had on all their friends.
Mark Ruffalo shines as the obstinate and fiery central character, but all the performances are great, especially a surprising Jim Parsons. An important film on many levels.
