Review of The Normal Heart (2014) by Chris C — 18 Sep 2014
Its difficult to put into words how glad I am that this movie has been made, in 1985 Larry Kramer first wrote the basis of this movie and after watching this movie this would of been at the peak of HIV / Aids crisis. For a first in my recollection that a stellar cast have signed onto a movie with the focus being on this subject, it is so welcome to see.
From beginning to end the 133 minutes seem to disappear, as I was fully gripped throughout. It truly evoked emotions and feelings, from the carefree, fun, hedonistic beginnings to the effects that this disease caused and in many ways still causes today.
I urge everyone regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation to take the time to watch this.
