Review of The Nomi Song (2004) by Lee H — 04 Jun 2007
Not really the best biopic I've ever seen, but it was neat to learn about an artist I had not much knowlegde of, other than the fact that he had a high-pitched voice and pretended to be an alien. For a docu, though, it's really bad with giving dates for when things happened.
I'm still not sure what year he died. Also, it really glossed over things, like it expected you to already know about them. I'm not really an expert on the early-80s New York fashion/transvestite scene, so a litte more explanation would have helped.
Great music and some awesome concert footage redeems it, though.
