Review of The Ninth Gate (1999) by Peter T — 08 Feb 2009
I think this film was pretty awful. It seems Mr. Polanski was on a creative holiday for this effort, and it seemed like Johnny Depp was sleep walking his way through the film. A shame really as Polanski has been in this territory before and did not disappoint.
It all seemed a bit disjointed and the ending appeared lazy and was wholly uninspiring. Alas, you cant win them all I suppose.
