Review of The Ninth Gate (1999) by Bungles D — 28 Apr 2009
Despite Roman Polanski's flippant description of his source material and his disdain for the subject of the supernatural, this movie manages a cheeky, unearthly charm as well as a sense of foreboding and malignant history that you never manage to shake.
Frank Langella is fantastic as satanic book collector Boris Balkan!
