Polanski's genius is felt throughout Ninth Gate with a solid plot, interesting story, and the talents of pre-Jack Sparrow Johnny Depp. Unfortunately Roman lost it here with the ending holdout being a train wreck compared to a Rosemary's Baby blockbuster.
