Review of The Nines (2007) by Jason C — 08 Mar 2009

I really liked this film. I've liked John August as a screenwriter and I was interested in seeing his first film to direct and it was definitely his most unique screenplay. It was definitely hard to follow and demanding, because as a viewer you are confused most of the movie, but I really liked it and it will have you thinking when its over.

There were parts that I didn't like, such as when it went away from being a serious film (i.e. the singing). Ryan Reynolds does a good job as do the other actors. If you like deep thinking and often confusing movies this film is for you.
