Review of The Nines (2007) by Holly R — 28 Apr 2011
An interesting Donnie Darko-esque concept. Reynold's subtleties with each character were perfect, making each one both flawed yet loveable and easy to connect with. Admittedly, some aspects of the film could have been executed a little better, (the jump cuts between each 'section' were timed a little strangely but had a somewhat marvellous Kubrickian feel at the same time).
Overall, an overlooked gem. Definitely one to watch !
