Jack Skellington, the King of Halloweentown, sets out to become Santa Clause and oversee the Christmas festivities. Though the film is directed by Selick, it carries the unmistakable gothic mark of Tim Burton who produced and oversaw the project.
Nightmare Before Christmas is among the most original seasonal movies ever made, with its dark undertones and memorable songs as well as a great use of stop motion animation.
