Review of The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993) by Robyn M — 22 Aug 2012
When I was a kid this movie frighten me, but in 2005 Amy Lee remade the classic 'Sally Song' and it triggered me to review Tim Burtons classic.
The saying "hate is inspired by fear", was the exact reason I disregard The Nightmare Before Chrismas. But now an adult I enjoy the whimsical creations of Tim burtons work, this is possibly the best, with his Batman movies coming in a close 2nd place. In addition Danny Elfmans early work as the composer and voice of Jake gives me chills of excitement. Elfman is rare to grace us with his vocals but is now 1 of Hollywoods saught after soundtrack composers for blockbusters and TV biggest shows (desperate housewives & simpsons theme). Burton has 2 talents: 1. Having a nack for making people famous and 2. Being true to his own style of directing.
