Review of The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993) by Ken S — 13 Jan 2015

This is one of my favorite holiday films. It is a definite contender for Tim Burton's ultimate masterpiece. Even though he technically did not direct it, it is still very much his movie. Not that I wish to take anything away from Henry Selick, who did a fantastic job directing.

..or even Danny Elfman, who did a wonderful score and soundtrack. It took the three to make this as good as it is. The visuals, the story, the characters, and the designs are all very Burton. A great collaborative piece, even though it is Burton's visuals and style that really shine through the brightest.
