Review of The Nightmare (2015) by Lisa J — 25 Jun 2015
(some minor spoilers in this review imo).
I guess this documentary probably wasn't the best thing to watch before deciding to go to sleep. (That being said, after typing this up, I plan to watch stand up comedy hahah.) Anyways, anyone having any sleep issues or ones that deal with 'Sleep Paralysis' this is the horror documentary for you that you should or should not watch for various reasons and one that might help clueless religious people as well who don't pray. This also might even turn people away from disbelieving in God/Jesus or the spiritual side of life, maybe. I don't believe this was made by a christian just based on some of the aspects within here, but some of these stories within come from former non-believers as well as a former atheist. The scariest thing about this doc. is that none of these told accounts really seem made up at all and you really do feel that these people who have experienced these "nightmares" while in sleep paralysis are still haunted by these happenings or have moved on for various reasons. Part of the reason this is such a terrifying documentary soly rest in the fact that I have experienced nightmares in my past similar to some of the stories here. This film is not for the faint of heart and doesn't really offer much solutions or any scientific studies. SO overall it leaves viewers with these terrifying accounts as well as hope for those that turn to prayer alone which is kind of disturbing to say the least but also surprising for this type. I can't say I will ever forget the stories of "truth" in this movie, but I also wish there had been more studies done here.
