Review of The Night of the Hunter (1955) by Ken K — 18 Sep 2009
Saw this on Saturday afternoon movies when. I was a kid and remembered how scary it was, but not much else. A while back at Sunday beer just at the Eagle, the vee/deejay had it playing with sound off and I recognized it and Netflixed it.
it's a real gem of stylized mid-50's storytelling. Think of "Picnic" told as a southern gothic.
