Review of The Night of the Hunter (1955) by Uditha D — 25 Nov 2011
Mitchum is truly scary as the Love/Hate "preacher" who stalks a fairytale/nightmare world of artificial sets, low key lighting, and widows with fortunes to be mined -- until he meets his match in Lillian Gish.
Charles Laughton in his only directing effort makes you regret that this was his only directing effort. Spooky.
