Review of The Night of the Hunter (1955) by Matt M — 04 Sep 2012
I know it's blasphemy not to consider this one of the greatest films ever made, but there was just something a little too odd about this film. That's a strange thing, as I usually like odd films.
(For example, I love David Lynch's stuff.) For some reason, though, I just couldn't entirely get into this one. Still, I can't deny the sheer artistry of it or the power of Robert Mitchum's performance.
