In "The Night Comes For Us", basically everyone wants to kill everyone at some point in the "story". Of course, that means that the intentions of most of the characters don't make any sense at times (Iko Uwais' Arian behavior reaches really absurd levels).

But we came to see Gareth Evans' compadre, Timo Tjahjanto, create wonderful ultra-violent sequences. And that he did it, perfectly.

There are at least four spectacular sequences, but the fight between Uwais and Taslim is by far the most impressive of all. I'll sound corny, but it's the damn truth: That fight, with a stronger and resilience Taslim and a faster and more technically talented Uwais, tells a whole story in itself, with both characters solving their remarkable differences as they break and mutilate each other.
