It tries to have heart, but there's something a bit insincere in that attempt. In that respect, this movie works as well as A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas: just enough plot and characterization to get you to care somewhat about the characters, but really just a vehicle to get to some funny jokes, scenes, and performances.
