A surprisingly jam-packed and ambitious comedy, The Night Before offers a lot more than your typical stoner flick thanks to director Jonathan Levine's ability to inject its silly story with a good amount of heart.
Unfortunately, he couldn't smooth out all the bumps- it's inconsistent and messy, and doesn't succeed in fleshing out its numerous plotlines and characters enough.
