Review of The Night Before (2015) by Cade H — 03 Mar 2016
The Night Before was like any recent Seth Rogen film, in that there were a few absolutely hilarious moments mixed with a lot of missed jokes. The story was simple and touching, about 3 friends who during the course of their Christmas tradition hangout, realize what true friendship really is.
The movie was filled with lots of fun cameos and as expected, lots of crude humor. Seth Rogen was the stand out funny guy while JGL created some funny moments but Anthony Mackie felt like a weak addition to the crew.
This one has enough holiday spirit to be a Christmas film and it could be one that a group of friends watches every year as a tradition. I enjoyed it enough to recommend it but you may be a little disappointed with the others besides Rogen in the laugh department.
