This feels like a fantastic ADULT christmas movie. For every predictable classic hollywood trope (there are quite a few) in this possible new holiday classic, there is a joke that I've never seen before.
If you're quick witted, the jokes are quite fast and very frequent. Michael Shannon (Boardwalk Empire, Superman) is a real standout character that definitely helps to make this film that little bit more special.
It's a comedy and the theater I was in laughed their asses off... what else are we supposed to judge this by?
