Although plotless, too long, and too much nonsense thrown at you, the film actually succeeds. I think the 70 is just about right. Three of us saw it, and it got a 6, 7, and 8. I thought Crowe carried it as he has dropped the leading man pretensions and now looks like a shiftless PI.

With a real story and some better editing, this could have been a real success. Still, it was better than I expected and better than "Money Monster". Why Basinger did not have more is beyond me.

A surprise to me.
