Review of The Nice Guys (2016) by Jeje W — 11 Mar 2017
The Nice Guys is Shane Black's new movie and it was pretty great. I loved almost everything about it. Ryan Gosling and Russel Crowe are so good in it. Their chemistry really impressed me. They are perfect in this movie.
The action is also amazing. It is choreographed so well and is just fun to look at. The movie takes this cliché buddy-cop movie and turns it into a super funny, really violent movie while still keeping that serious tone.
And the way the film is shot is eye candy. The camera has a mind of its own in this film. It is so fluid. The sets and outfits that the people wear make it look like a movie released in 1977 with better quality.
The movie is outrageously funny. It is the kind of laughter that would annoy the people next to me in the theater. The acting is so convincing. Especially from the girl who plays Ryan Gosling's daughter.
She is amazing in this movie. And apparently, she's Australian which makes her performance all the more impressive. I loved The Nice Guys and I'm giving it an 10/10.
