Review of The Next Three Days (2010) by Taylor B — 17 Aug 2011
The pattern I'm beginning to see in Haggis' films is that he has no qualms about making an unbalanced film. As Crash was all about atmosphere, the plot aspect was sacrificed for atmosphere. On this occasion, the film is about a man dealing with challenges to his character.
As such, everything else serves this purpose. If you can accept that, you can appreciate Haggis's films for what they are. Otherwise you'll find plenty to criticize.
