Review of The Next Three Days (2010) by Kamiel C — 22 Aug 2011
Don't believe the critics. this movie is suspense at its best, if you like the fugitive, papillon, or silence of the lambs this one if for you. I liked these movies as a boy and what the *** is wrong with being a boy once again and watch how the protagonist outsmarts the system? What are these critics expecting from a suspense thriller? Psychology lessons? But hey, there's a lot more in this film under the surface.
Haggis did a great job and the movie has some really powerful shots (he also did the screenplay) like when he's leaving the moaning thug at the bus stop. If anything, this one could have been a bit longer to explore the characters of the detectives and Lara.
