Review of The Next Three Days (2010) by Russell G — 03 Jan 2012
It seemed surprisingly realistic for such an improbable mission. I enjoyed watching the main character break and bend every law to fight for the justice that he knew to be true. Russell Crowe did a very good job as a character that has warmth and kindness in him but becomes cold and calculating as he takes enormous risks and will stop at nothing to save his wife.
This breakout movie feels so real because the hero lets nothing stand in his way and he does not play nice. He causes a great deal of harm to others in order to correct one wrong, but for this character the ends justify the means.
It was exciting, smart, intense at times, and emotional.
