Review of The Next Three Days (2010) by Bob S — 08 May 2012
Crowe stars as the husband of a woman accused of murder in Haggisâ(TM) tense drama. The film tests the boundaries of how relentlessly a man might pursue his wife's innocence and freedom. On the surface, the story is about taking justice in your own hands, but searching deeper, you will see the story is about unwavering love and the strength of family.
The film builds nicely from character drama to something far more suspenseful. Haggis has the knack for directing complex human stories in an understated manner with purposeful characters and a pace ideal for keeping you on the edge of your seat.
