Review of The Next Three Days (2010) by Jeffrey D — 14 May 2012
Going in, I thought this was going to be really good. But while Russell Crowe and Elizabeth Banks are both good in their roles and the story is interesting, it is way too slow for my taste. A horror or drama movie being slow is fine, but having an action-thriller move at a snail's pace is a problem.
I'm not saying they have to be ADD with the camera and be all over the place, but this movie is ridiculously slow. Once the escape mission gets started, it picks up and turns out to be pretty good, but that's way too late in the film.
If you don't mind a slow paced thriller, check it out, but it wasn't completely for me.
