Review of The Next Three Days (2010) by Matthew C — 12 Oct 2012
It's usually these kinds of movies that challenge us the most. What would you do? How far would you go? Most of us would think and hope to have the right choice come right to our mouths but then we'd give it some more thought and consider just how much we love certain people in our lives, then we might reach the conclusion that we'd do anything.
Russell Crow and Banks are amazing in this thriller. One man's long shot attempt to save everything he is and has is well thought out by one of my favorites, Haggis. Haggis keeps you guessing, at every moment turning Crowe's character against himself and everything else.
Critics pan it because of it's "implausibility" but that's not the point. The point is doing what you never thought you could before and the portrayal is very real which makes the film all the more engrossing.
