I watched Charlie Rose interview Russell Crowe and discuss the movie. Mr. Crowe maintained that his attraction to this script was as a love story, as opposed to a thriller. My impression was just the opposite.
It's strictly a thriller and not a very good one at that. Implausible to the point of exasperation. Eminently forgettable.
