Review of The New World (2005) by Philip O — 02 Mar 2009
Hmmm...first off, I love a good Malick film. This film has almost everything a Malick needs to be good: poetic music, beautiful images, ethereal voiceovers, and a long running time. Unfortunately, I felt it lacks the emotional intensity to connect the viewer to the film (at least for me).
Overall, I'm glad that I watched it, but it's not something I'd plan to watch again.
