Review of The New World (2005) by Frances T — 28 Jul 2009
An interesting revisionist take on the Pocahontas story. Although it is, at times, emotionally-evocative, it's also over-long. Not to mention that the lack of rousing action and the choppy editing take a toll on the film.
But despite its flaws, it is the best Jamestown film out there and a good movie for anyone interested in historical fiction and romance.
