Review of The New World (2005) by Bj W — 07 Nov 2009
I enjoyed the theatrical release of this film, but the extended cut is truly wonderful. The cinematography alone is so beautiful and poetic that were it a silent film I would probably find it just as captivating.
It definitely won't be for everyone and the pacing will no doubt turn off a lot of people, but in my eyes this movie shows once again that Terrence Malick knows what the fuck he's doing.
